Steven Spielberg Talks ‘Jurassic Park 3D’
In a recent interview, Steven Spielberg discussed the upcoming release of Jurassic Park 3D and explained that technology was a natural fit:
Jurassic Park in a sense was shot in my mind in 3D.
As someone who has been skeptical of converted 3D movies, Spielberg’s enthusiasm makes a very good case that the rerelease isn’t just a crass money grab. The director of the summer 1993 blockbuster said that he was inspired by last year’s 3D rerelease of Titanic.

Even though there have been several big budget 3D flops recently, Disney is confident it will be able to recapture the box office magic of Tim Burton‘s Alice in Wonderland in 2010, which earned over $330 M, in the US alone, when it was released in 2010.
